The best defense against possible assault in the future is to learn effective self defense techniques. Self defense weapons are useless if you do not know how to use it and when to strike it. These can easily be disabled and you can easily lose it especially if you are not confident enough to use it. In the end, you may still end up a victim. Self defense weapons are good deterrent for criminals but it is better if you can use your body to protect its own self by learning a few effective self defense techniques like the ones which are listed below. Two Main Principles of Self Defense Techniques The best self defense technique is not to be in place of danger. How can this be since you are not a seer who knows when an attack will take place? It recommends individual not to walk in places where possible assaults may take place like dark allies or places where others may hide in wait for a possible victim. Be wise enough when to walk alone and when to seek the company of your friends or officemates. The second self defense techniques is to run if possible. Even if you are equipped with sufficient skills to defend yourself, if there is room to run then do so. You never know if your attacker has a hidden weapon worn under his or her clothing. He or she may have gun and can easily hit you with it. So try to make a way to escape and run. In doing so, you will not only free yourself from possible harm and danger but you can also avoid inflicting harm on others because of the force which you may need to apply to him or her. However, if all of these things fail and you are left with no other option but to fight back in order to save your self and stop the attacks made by your attacker then you should not restrain yourself and use self-defense to protect yourself. The Finger Whip Technique This is executed by whipping your hand and wrist if as if you are flinging water off your hand. Do these swiftly near the eye of your attacker and flick as hard as you can so you can strike his eyes with the use of your four fingers. Once it has been executed, run for safety and call the authorities to report the incident. Clinch Attack Technique This is not easily executed and needs to be practiced and learned either from a martial arts class or a self defense class. You perform this by ducking away from your attacker's blow then proceeding to his arm for you to grab hold of it so you can clinch it. Do your attack by biting on his ear, cheek, nose or any part of the face which you can bite on and shake your head back and forth until he completely releases you. The pain will take some time to wear off and will give you enough opportunity to escape. Scream and shout at your attacker as loud as you can. This will attract attention to the situation from passers by that may come to your aid, and will also show the attacker that you are more confident than previously thought when you were singled out as a victim.
