3-4 Cups THRIVE Quick Oats
2 Cups Apple Juice
1/2 cup honey
3/4 cup Pepitas Green Pumpkin Seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup walnuts, pecans, or almonds
1 cup shredded or dessicated coconut
2 teaspoons salt {add more if it is bland tasting}
2-3... or 4 teaspoons cinnamon
pinch of grated nutmeg
Mix everything together, making sure it is blended well and everything is coated
Place onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 300-350 {some ovens run too hot and will burn it, just be careful} for a few hours, tossing it every half hour or so, until all moisture is cooked out and granola is toasted
Once cooled, add in any sort of THRIVE dehydrated fruit of your choice. I did a mixed berry version, with raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. So good! But use any sort you like, go tropical with the pineapple, mangoes and mandarin oranges. Go for Peach-Blueberry or Strawberry Berry. Play with the spices, it is so versatile!
Natalie's Notes: Okay, DUH! I've since figured out a much more awesome way to do this, since sometimes sticking was a problem. Instead of pouring it all out in the pan like I did, mix it in a bowl. The grease the sheet with non-stick spray, and pour out your granola. Much better!Â
Please try this recipe, it is delicious and we can't get enough of it and our house {or on set!}. I highly recommend using Saigon Cinnamon {best place to buy is Costco}. It gives it a richer, fuller taste. And throw a little vanilla bean or vanilla extract in near the end if you feel so inclined. Enjoy!
