VICTORIA - Vancouver Island and the BC Coast are long overdue for a major earthquake and experts are again urging people to prepare. The tragedy in Haiti comes as Victoria gets ready for a public safety seminar on earthquake preparation Wednesday January 27th at Oaklands Community Centre.
Experts advise that every household should have an emergency kit with enough supplies to last at least 72 hours.
